The CER and Utility Regulator invite interested parties to attend a public workshop on REMIT, which is the new EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency. REMIT sets out new EU-wide rules in relation to the prohibition of market manipulation and "insider trading" and provides for market monitoring by ACER, thus potentially having a significant impact on the activities of market participants in SEM.
This Regulatory Authority workshop on REMIT will be held from 9:45am to 11:45am at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk, on Friday 23rd March. Anyone interested in attending the workshop should contact Maeve Kennedy (mkennedy@cer.ie) at the CER by no later than Monday 12th March, as numbers will be limited. A detailed workshop agenda will be sent to all attendees by e-mail.
