Today (16th October, 2013) the Regulatory Authorities publish the slides presented at the DS3 System Services industry Workshop in Dundalk on Monday 14th October 2013. Please submit any comments you may have on the Regulatory Authorities' proposed approach to the economic analysis by close of business Monday 21st October 2013.
The Regulatory Authorities also invite existing generators and potential new entrants to make submissions regarding the capability of units to provide the proposed system services, timeline for any necessary works and an indication (non-binding) of the associated investment and operational costs. The Regulatory Authorities will not publish these submissions, however please clearly indicate any information you consider may be commercially sensitive in your submission.
Submissions should, where possible, cover the following areas:
Please briefly ouline the nature of your unit.
Please indicate the discrete actions which you could take to deliver services which meet (or nearly meet) the proposed product definitions
For each action please indicate which services the action will deliver, and approximate quantities of each service
Identify those services whose definition you could almost achieve and how your capability will differ from the proposed definition
What is the nature of the action - operational vs investment - and what would be the operational actions and costs, investment costs and lead times? (indicative figures)
What key uncertainties affect your answers to the above questions and how/in what timescales could those uncertainties be reduced?
Any other issues you consider relevant.
The deadline for submissions is 15th November 2013
