The Integrated Single Electricity Market (I-SEM) High Level Design includes a Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) to help ensure that sufficient generation is available to keep the lights on. The CRM will secure the capacity required to produce electrical energy through the I-SEM via a competitive auction process.
The SEM Committee today, 10th April 2017, publish this CRM Parameters Decision Paper regarding values and other parameters relevant to the CRM auction.
This paper is published following a consultation process and industry engagement. It contains a summary of the comments received during the consultation, the SEM Committee’s response to those comments and the SEM Committee’s decisions on the key issues.
