Today, 11th October 2016, the SEM Committee publishes its decision approving the DS3 System Services Qualification Trial Process as proposed by the Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
As part of the System Services approach, the TSOs have proposed a Qualification Trial Process as the mechanism for proving technical capability of those technologies and service providers that have not yet qualified for the Central Procurement Process. The core objective of the Qualification Trial Process is to facilitate the entry of an enhanced suite of technologies and portfolio of service providers in the provision of System Services.
This paper outlines the SEM Committee’s decisions relating to the operation of the Qualification Trial and the principles on which the Qualification Trial should be run.
