SEM PLEXOS Model Back Cast and Validation Project
Today, 19th January 2024, the Regulatory Authorities (RAs) are notifying market participants of their intention to commence a SEM PLEXOS Model Back cast and Validation project before the end of Quarter 1 2024.
NERA Economic Consulting have been appointed to progress the back cast and validation and will update the RA’s current SEM PLEXOS Model.
The RAs and the appointed consultants will be liaising with relevant market participants to validate the representation of their generation units in the market in due course, and such participants shall be required to provide all requested data to the RAs in accordance with their license conditions.
The RAs welcome market participants’ comments and their view(s) of key focus areas for this project. All comments and views can be directed to Lisa Murray at the Market Modelling Group (mmg@cru.ie) before close of business on Friday, 9th February 2024.
