Consultation on Intermediary Arrangements in the SEM

The SEM Committee is today, 26 May 2020, publishing a consultation paper on the application of Intermediary Arrangements in the SEM following on from SEM-17-025. Intermediary Arrangements under the Trading and Settlement Code allow a third party to act on behalf of a generator owner in relation to specific generator units in the SEM.

The consultation considers a broader set of eligibility criteria to allow market participants to apply to be represented by an Intermediary where they do not wish to accede to the Trading and Settlement and Capacity Market Codes.  The consultation also considers intermediary arrangements in the context of the ex-ante markets.
